Monster Trucks

What a great way to kick-off Mother's Day weekend! We could not have had a better time down at the beach for the monster trucks. The boys had a great view while the ladies relaxed in the shade (it was a very hot day). We were very blessed with favor.

Teeth

So Chris has this absolutely horrible set of teeth that he bought years ago. I had forgotten about them (or I would have found them and thrown them away). Anyway, we were sitting at the table the other night and I looked up and lo and behold there were those teeth! Claire told Chris to get away and that they were horrible, but not Henry. . .

Easter

So this post is just a bit late and the red eyes were not removed, but here it is. We had a wonderful day at church and rejoicing with family. Of course Henry and Claire also enjoyed their Easter baskets (from many family members) and the fantastic egg hunt at Pop-Pop's house.

last minute getaway

What a wonderful weekend we had! My sister called and asked us if we would like to go to Nags Head for a long weekend and the answer was an emphatic, yes! My sister and her husband, my niece and mom all came down, so I was actually able to relax and not worry about the kids. Chris came down on Saturday which happened to be the most beautiful day. We relaxed, shopped, looked for shells and relaxed some more. Claire met the cutest little boy named Scott and told me she really missed him when we got home. It was absolutely wonderful and I can't wait for our next adventure. Thanks "Auntie Geg" and Uncle Alan-we love you!!

Spring Program

Claire had her spring program on Thursday and it was so cute. This was the third program of the year and the first time she was actually a willing participant-we were so proud of her. Claire is very blessed with a sweet class and absolutely wonderful teachers.

She is such a kind and loving teacher.

Claire loves having Henry come to class for parties. She likes to tell everyone all about "Her brother Henry."

I am not very good about posting the "big things" as it seems a bit overwhelming. Having said that, we had some very big birthdays in our house last month. My wonderful husband turned 40 on March 6th and my sweet baby boy turned 2 on March 8th. Needless to say it was a very crazy week around here. We had a surprise party to celebrate the big 40 at my sister's and then celebrated Henry's on Sunday. I really cannot believe that my little baby is no longer a baby at all. It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready to welcome him into our lives. I am so blessed with an awesome family-I love them so much!!!!

Bird Nests

Today Henry was still not feeling well, so we decided to stay home (again). Since we could not go anywhere, the next best thing would be chocolate of course. First we made chocolate bird nests and filled them with jellybeans. Then we read The Best Nest while our chocolate hardened. Finally we were able to enjoy our yummy creations. I also decided we needed a day without television, so it has been a wonderfully productive yet quiet morning. I am so ready for spring and these nests gave us a little snipet of the wonderfully refreshing things ahead (it really does not take much).
