Teeth
So Chris has this absolutely horrible set of teeth that he bought years ago. I had forgotten about them (or I would have found them and thrown them away). Anyway, we were sitting at the table the other night and I looked up and lo and behold there were those teeth! Claire told Chris to get away and that they were horrible, but not Henry. . .

No Way!
My sweet little boy who just turned 2 on Sunday has a new favorite saying. It literally happened the day after his birthday. Henry do you want to sit on the potty? "No way!" Henry, it's time to go now- "No way!" Henry, you need to wash your hands for dinner- "No way."
Henry was very quiet for too long, so I went into the kitchen to check on him. He is kindly showing me the marker he used to draw on his face and the wall. Saturday, February 21, 2009

New Hat
Being that the sun loves Henry's noggin, we are hoping he will get used to wearing a hat. We are ready for warm weather and sunny beach days!

He's ONE!
He was so excited to have his seat forward facing-such a big boy!

The birthday would not be complete without being mauled by his big sis.It has certainly been an eventful week for us! We celebrated Chris' 39th birthday on Thursday and then on Saturday our baby boy had his first birthday. I cannot believe that Henry is now one. Although it has been a crazy year with very little sleep, I would not trade one single minute of it! One year ago (March 8th, actually), Henry Christopher came into this world at 12:36 am. It was an awesome delivery thanks to our midwife, Erin, at DePaul. God blessed us with the sweetest, snuggliest little baby boy and I have definitely gotten lots of quiet (and not so quiet) time with Henry. The year literally flew by and I wish I could simply put on the brakes and keep him this age for a bit longer. Henry was a star at his party and enjoyed his "smush" cake. Happy Birthday to my yummy baby boy! Click here for more birthday pictures (even more to be added shortly) and thank you to all who celebrated with us. We are so thankful for our family and friends.

Our Little Tornado

It is unbelievable how such a little boy can leave such a big path of destruction. Claire happened to leave her dresser drawer open and Henry decided to pull all of the clothes out and throw them on the floor. Anything left open (or not) is fair game. Having said that, he does it all with a huge smile on his face!
