Spring is in the Air!

We took a much needed walk to the beach today and enjoyed a picnic lunch with sandy bananas as an added treat. It was just beautiful and I actually went to Target to get sunscreen prior to going down to the beach. We are definitely ready for warmer weather.

HAPPY EASTER!

We had such a glorious day! Grammy joined us for church and then brunch at my sister's house. After a nap for Claire and Henry, we went to my Dad's house for dinner. Claire had two Easter egg hunts and four or five baskets. We are blessed with such loving families. For more Easter pics, click here.

A Beautiful Day!

Today was the first ride in the "carriage." They loved it!

Today was an absolutely beautiful day! We rode bikes down to the Hilton to meet Uncle Brian, Aunt Rebekah and cousin Duncan for an Easter celebration. The kids had a great time playing on the playground and running in the (very cold) water. Unfortunately,we neglected to put sunscreen on Claire and Henry-yikes! Anyway, we could not have asked for a better day. We were even able to sip a cold beverage on the patio at the Hilton.

New Woman!

For the first time in about 8 months, I was able to get 8 hours of UNINTERRUPTED sleep! Can I get an Amen?

He's ONE!

He was so excited to have his seat forward facing-such a big boy!

The birthday would not be complete without being mauled by his big sis.

It has certainly been an eventful week for us! We celebrated Chris' 39th birthday on Thursday and then on Saturday our baby boy had his first birthday. I cannot believe that Henry is now one. Although it has been a crazy year with very little sleep, I would not trade one single minute of it! One year ago (March 8th, actually), Henry Christopher came into this world at 12:36 am. It was an awesome delivery thanks to our midwife, Erin, at DePaul. God blessed us with the sweetest, snuggliest little baby boy and I have definitely gotten lots of quiet (and not so quiet) time with Henry. The year literally flew by and I wish I could simply put on the brakes and keep him this age for a bit longer. Henry was a star at his party and enjoyed his "smush" cake. Happy Birthday to my yummy baby boy! Click here for more birthday pictures (even more to be added shortly) and thank you to all who celebrated with us. We are so thankful for our family and friends.
