I forgot to include a very important part of the festivities. . .Claire completely fell apart once we arrived at the cocktail hour (no nap, no food), so I went across the hall to the restaurant to order her a grilled cheese. While waiting for my order, I was able to chat with Emmit Smith-yes, that's right. Of course, I had to throw in that I went to school with his wife. It made an exciting day even better!

Wedding Day

What a great celebration we were a part of this weekend! Rob and Laura were married on Saturday and good news. . .Claire did her part and walked down the aisle! The fesitivities began Friday night with the rehearsal and then continued with delicious food and beverages at the Patriot Inn. After dinner, we were given a walking tour of Old Towne. It was a blast! Then came the big event and it was just beautiful. Congratulations to the newlyweds!!
Of course, I did not have my camera after the wedding, so most of the photos are leading up to the big event. Sorry Rob, most of the pics are of your lovely wife. weekend photos

Sandbridge

We had the best day! Deanne was kind enough to invite us down to hang out at their condo. The pool was awesome as it was only a foot at one end and outside of the pool was a soft surface with fountains and sprinklers. Perfect for the little guy who does not want to be "confined" to the pool. Great company, great food and great weather. That's what summer is all about.Monday, July 7, 2008

Ballet Class

Claire has been talking about taking ballet as long as we can remember. So tonight was the night for her very first class. She was so excited sitting with the other little girls eagerly awaiting. Imagine our surprise halfway through the class when the door opened and out comes the teacher with a crying child, yes Claire, who chose not to participate! We shall see what happens next week.Monday, June 16, 2008
Hatteras

Henry, Claire and Brandon hijacked Vera's tub. We had such a wonderful time in Hatteras last weekend. We accepted a very generous invitation from our friends The Heath's, The Hartz' and The Green's to come stay with them in the home they rented. Eight adults and seven children made for quite an adventure. Claire still talks about staying at Sammy Heath's hotel and what a cute name Bodie is for a baby. We are so thankful for such kind friends!!
