Happy Birthday to our "Little Lady." I cannot believe that it has already been three years. It seems like just yesterday that I told Chris we needed to go to the hospital and we ran around in circles getting things together. Twenty-three short hours later, God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. Eleanor Claire made her debut at 5:47 pm, January 9th. What a joy these three years have been!

Claire had a wonderful birthday! On her actual birthday, her friend Owen came over for a playdate. We knew it would be a great time when he showed up with a giant Disney Princess balloon! They played outside, ate pizza and licked the icing off of cupcakes. Today we were able to celebrate with family and Claire had a blast. Thank you to everyone for a very special day! Welcome to Our Blog

I realize this should have been the very first post, but it wasn't. So. . .I am currently taking 18 months off from teaching (with only about 7 months left) and loving staying home with Eleanor Claire and Henry. I hope you enjoy visiting our crazy little fairy tale. Happy New Year and God bless!

Just Another Day

It was a beautiful day today, so we headed down to the playset on 10th street. Claire had a great time playing with the 15 or so children there and Henry enjoyed eating the sand. Unfortunately, this would be the one time I forgot the camera. Having said that, after a great naptime I was able to capture the cuties playing in Henry's crib.

Henry's First Christmas

It was so much fun to watch Henry on Christmas! Of course he did not have a clue as to what was happening and thoroughly enjoyed pulling the ornaments off the tree, reaching for extension cords and trying to play with all of sister's new toys. Ice Skating

Today was Claire's first experience with ice skating. We went to the rink at MacArthur in Norfolk with her friends Anna and Elizabeth. She had a blast (after protesting the entire way there), especially when her dad and I pushed her on the bucket. It was a great way to spend the day and going to Doumar's afterward was well deserved.
