Our Scottish Connection

I have been so blessed by Viv's friendship these past ten years! Who would have thought that after spending a year living separate lives in different countries, we would be such good friends. We had the best time when she came to Virginia Beach and look forward to the day when it is our turn to do the visiting. I laugh so hard now everytime Henry says "Aye."
Thank you so much for coming over to spend time with us. We love you Viv!
The Big Apple
What a great weekend! It was so nice to have three whole days with no worries except where to go for our next meal. We had a blast and were completely worn out by the time Sunday rolled around. My two favorite places were definitely Grand Central Station and the Met. Thanks Kim, Noel and Viv for such an awesome adventure and of course to my wonderful husband for taking such good care of our family!!!

Baby Fiona

Last night we had the privilege of visiting our little niece, Fiona and her big brother. The cousins had a great time playing together (except when Claire put Duncan in a headlock). We look forward to many more good times together. Thanks Brian and Rebekah and we hope we did not wear out our welcome.Field Trip
What a great day! Eleanor Claire had her first field trip with her sweet little class. We went to Taylor Farms and it was a beautiful day. We were able to go on a hayride, pick a pumpkin, spend time with the animals and play on the equipment. We are so thankful for her wonderful teachers.

Road Trip
Last weekend we decided to make the drive out to Ohio for my Grandmother's funeral. We left VB at 10:30 and finally arrived sometime after 11:00. Let's just say we will not ever use mapquest again! The funeral was very nice and again reiterated my Mamaw's love for the Lord even in the most dire of circumstances. I even had the privilege of being a pallbearer. After the funeral, several of us went to lunch on the river in Kentucky. It was great to spend time with family that I do not see very often. After the funeral, we hit the road and pulled into Lexington Virginia around 9:30. We celebrated our 5th anniversary at Ruby Tuesdays. It wasn't the Sanderling as planned, but we had uninterrupted time together which was wonderful. A huge thank you to Grammy and Nanny for taking such good care of Henry and Claire. Here are a few pics from the weekend:
